iMPROVE had a dual role in this large-scale project. In addition to leading the development work and migrating the original site from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9, we performed extensive functional analysis of key features such as communication between portal users.

Key features of the finished site include:

• the most active adventurers module, which includes a complex logic of user activity on the portal
• searching across the entire portal in articles, sites and users using the powerful Apache SOLR search engine. The use of facets in the search interface provides users with more relevant and engaging information in the search results.
• internal communication between users
• management of advertising space
• optimized site performance while balancing the need for high-resolution images and videos

Why Drupal?

Drupal is perfectly suited for this type of large and complex platform, which must be able to acquire data from a wide range of sources and transmit it in real time. Its content editing interface allows both administrators and portal users to quickly and easily create, publish and edit content, despite the site containing more than 15 different types of content.
